Get in the holiday spirit at the 41st annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, with more than 80 boats lavishly decorated to the theme “USS Santa Claus”. A bright idea

The Oceanside Tree Lighting Event will be on Nov 29 from 6-8pm at 401 Mission Avenue. It will have Santa, holiday singers, music, and yummy snacks. The event is free to the public and it brings Oceanside families to the downtown area for some holiday fun! Veterans Day is Nov 11

Coast it

One of the wonderful things about living at SeaCountry at Arrowood is making the most of the bicycle culture in Oceanside! There are always great events to participate in or support. The Bike the Coast/Taste The Coast Festival & Expo is on November 3 at The Strand, under the Oceanside Pier, right next to the beautiful Oceanside Beach. The closest Street Address is 300 N. The Strand, Oceanside 92054. Online registration is closed but walk up registration is still open on Friday November 2. For more info, click here.

SAVE THE DATE! O’side Turkey Trot

Sign up today for the 7^th Annual Oceanside Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day! For many, the race has become an annual family tradition. For some, it is an opportunity to achieve their personal best. For others, it was a chance to honor friends and family. No matter the motivation, the combination of overcast skies, cool weather and flat course made for an ideal running day for all. It’s spirited and record-setting competition for the O’side Turkey Trot’s two open races – the 5 Miler and 5K, as well as five races for children 12 and under. Brick or treat

Now through October 28, 2012, LEGOLAND® California Resort is gearing up for the biggest kids’ Halloween celebration in San Diego, Brick-or-Treats Party Nights. Every Saturday night in October, the family theme park’s Brick-or-Treat Party Nights is filled with a variety of family activities including the interactive show “Mail Order Monsters,” Brick-or-Treat Trails and, of course, SEA LIFE® Carlsbad Aquarium gets into the Halloween spirit with its own Brick-or-Treat Trail Bonus station and special festive activities. Brick-or-Treat Party Nights features costume contests, nighttime trick-or-treating on one of two Brick or Treat Trails, festive music, entertainment, interaction with the “Boo Crew”, the animated light show “Spirits of Halloween” after sundown and fireworks cap off the night at 9 p.m. For more information, click here.
